Tire Recycling

Six million tires are disposed of annually in Indiana alone. Millions of tires are illegally disposed of and wait remediation. Tire piles cause serious health threats to humans by providing breeding grounds for mosquitoes, LaCross Encephalitis, St. Louis Encephalitis, Eastern Equine Encephalitis, and the West Nile Virus. The Asian tiger mosquito is considered the nation’s most dangerous species. It has been established in 23 states including Indiana.

Landfill space is at an all-time premium. Reducing the amount of trash going to the landfills is necessary to avoid the pitfalls of other states, which have to barge their trash out of state. This creates some of the highest disposal rates in the nation.

C.C.E., Inc has lead the way in Indiana by putting in a pilot project to get tire chips approved for use in lateral lines. We have invested heavily in Indiana’s ability to take care of our tire disposal.

The amount of equipment and maintenance required to turn tires into a viable product is a costly venture. However C.C.E. remains steadfast in our commitment.

C.C.E. takes a disposal problem and turns it into a beneficial reuse. TDF goes to power many companies and reduces the need for coal consumption creating a more independent and greener Indiana.
